VIDEO DIA LOGHI 2009 art video festival and artist videos (2009)

Tuesday, 15th December the Festival Video Dialogues 2009 curated by Willy Darko, Alison Williams, Michael Chang, Natasa Kovsca, will be inaugurated. This edition will be presented at Cinema Massimo, at Velan Contemporary Art Centre, at TriestèFotografia, festival, at the Juliet Magazin exhibition space in Trieste and at the Gallerija Dimenzija Napredka in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. The festival in the past was hosted in Spain, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey and United States and in this edition will be extended to other two countries: Denmark and South Africa. The different sections explore the numerous possibilities offered by this complex and multiform language, from the classic video art to the theoretical experiences of the early Seventies, to the video installations, video clips , video documentaries and video dance, including also the most recent video techniques. The section LOOP, curated by the South African Alison William, offers a screening with a selection of national and international artists.
