Saturday, 4th April 2009 the group exhibition Teatri Possibili (Possible Theatres) will be inaugurated at Palazzo Ferrero, Biella, curated by Andrea Busto, with works by Lida ABDUL, Marina ABRAMOVIC, Jennifer ALLORA & Guillermo CALZADILLA, Elina BROTHERUS, Regine Josè GALINDO, Patrizia GUERRESI MAIMOUNA, William KENTRIDGE, Annika LARSSON, MASBEDO, Adrian PACI, Santiago SIERRA, Bill VIOLA, Tim WHITE-SOBIESKI, Artur ZMIJEWSKI. The exhibition develops around the theme of contemporary social topics such as immigration, job, racial diversity, entertainment, school, friendship, sexuality, politics, nature, youth and aging. Topics common to many epochs and historical periods, which have found their echoes in the interpretations and in the different sensibilities of contemporary and past artists. A timeless ‘correspondence’ is established among video-artists who took inspiration from the masterpieces of the past.
