Friday, November  26^th, 2004  Velan will present QAQORTOQ, a solo exhibition by Joel TETTAMANTI (Efok, Camerun, 1977). Grown up in Lesotho and in Switzerland, Tettamanti is a travel photographer. Specialised in architecture and landscape photography, he has been working in numerous European countries, but also in Kuwait, Singapore, Seychelles, Greenland. In his work the representation of what is real is mixed with an attentive research about the volumes of forms and the light aspect.

In this Exhibition, Joel Tettamanti will present the series QAQORTOQ. Qaqortoq is a port town, which is considered, notwithstanding its few thousand inhabitants, the centre of Southern Greenland. The artist portrayed some attractive details, where the study of light and formal plasticity convey to the images an almost metaphysic touch.
