In November 2000 Velan will present Suspended, a solo exhibition by Cosimo DI LEO RICATTO (Catania, 1950), curated by Ombretta Agrò Andruff. The artist, of Italian origins, but resident since long time in New York, will exhibit a series of works created from the end of 1999. Using oil painting and coloured neoprene as well, Di Leo Ricatto created some speaking clouds, fragments of phrases, reflections on the meaning of language and communication through writing.
Cosimo Di Leo Ricatto (Catania, 1950) has been living for years between Catania and New York and is now living in Amsterdam, Holland. Pupil of Giovanni Migliara, he attended in 1969 the Art School in Siracusa and then, in 1973, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan.
